Christopher and I recently got back from our first trip as a family of 3! We stayed in the dreamiest little treehouse in Park City, Utah.
To be completely honest, renting this treehouse was good in theory, but it wasn’t the most practical with a 3-month old baby. The ships ladder to the upstairs bedroom is narrow, so we had to be very cautious when carrying Dakota up and down.
If you’re looking to rent this Airbnb, just know that it’s very cozy (small, tight spaces…especially the bathroom). When I got up in the middle of the night, I had to constantly remind myself that there was a big hole in the bedroom floor so that I wouldn’t fall to my death, ha! But despite these things, I still enjoyed being nestled away in the snowcapped mountains.
Anytime we travel by car, we like to bring goods from our pantry (it saves us money). Necessities for us include: French press (Chris doesn’t go anywhere without it, ha!), coffee, tea, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, oatmeal, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and coconut oil. Pack lightly? What’s that…?
We buy perishables from the grocery store to make breakfast and dinner at the Airbnb, and then we like to grab lunch somewhere in town.

Whole Foods Market
This my absolute favorite place – we always seem to find one when we’re traveling. You can get perishables here, along with a healthy salad from the organic salad bar. There’s also a nice selection of vegan options at the hot food bar.
Fairweather Natural Foods
If you’re looking for organic vegan juice, smoothies, soups, salads, sandwiches, or baked goods, this is the place to go. I loved their Coconut Curry Lentil Soup (homemade soups change daily). Their sandwiches are pre-made and individually wrapped, so you can easily bring it on-the-go. I tried the Vegan Chicken Salad Sandwich (tempeh, vegenaise, hummus, and veggies) paired with the All Greens Juice – sooo delicious!
Buds Sandwich Company
Everything on their menu is 100% plant-based! Get the Barbacoa Sandwich or Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich…you’re welcome 😉
They have vegan and gluten-free options (just look for V or GF on their menu). I created my own Market Plate (1 protein + 2 sides) with falafel, spaghetti squash, and sweet potato hash. The food was good, but the portions were really small.
